Membership at Shoreline Clay Club
Thank you for your interest in joining the Clay Club! We prioritize kindness, inclusiveness, cleanliness, creativity, and community. We welcome anyone who lives these values to come work at Shoreline Clay. Our studio is one that we want you to love coming to, where you always feel welcome, and one that maintains a fun and supportive community. To work creatively is taken very seriously, we believe it is vital to living a fuller life, and we hope that our space is one that you flourish in.
The monthly fee is $165, and we require a $100 and a three month commitment, at minimum. Your deposit will be returned to you at the end of your time here, as long as everything is in good order. We require 30 days notice if you do decide to depart the studio.
You must clean up after yourself, if you fail to clean up after yourself you will lose your studio privileges and your deposit will not be returned. This includes your personal space, community spaces you’ve used, if you’ve spilled anything on the floor, etc. etc.
Members are allowed to work anytime 24/7, 7 days a week with the exception of when special events are taking place. The classroom studio is also available to you anytime workshops and classes are not taking space and you can always find our current list of courses and events posted on the Clay Club website.
Access to firings! In addition to a beautiful studio with great equipment your membership comes with access to our electric kilns. Cost is calculated at .10 per sq. cubic inch. There is also a nominal firing fee to help keep up the shelves, elements, etc with kiln wear and tear.
You may not bring in outside clays, slips, or glazes! This is extremely important! This ensures the life of our equipment, and that all of our materials are being fired correctly and are cohesive with each other and that there is no cross contamination. As with classes, the cost of clay includes the cost of glaze materials associated with it as well.
Members will receive their own shelf for storage. There are also two shared members shelves. Anything that exceeds these areas must be taken with you upon each visit.
Monthly payment can be submitted via Venmo, check or cash. Dues are expected on the first of each month.
